Description: This reproduction one-sided document would have been factory printed and accompanied the car down the assembly line to let line workers know how the car was configured.  Hamtramck Assembly Plant line workers are well known to leave these broadcast sheets in various places in the car to include behind the glove box (least common), on top of the driver's seat springs (more common), on the rear seat springs or rear seat back springs (both more common), or even under the carpet (lease common).  Line workers also often wrote their initials or symbols inside the car in various places or left inspection marks.  Interior carpeting and seats were often the last steps of assembly and Hamtramck Assembly Plant line workers often left the broadcast sheets in the car so as to avoid having to avoid the accumulation of trash they would then have to throw away.  Some plants like Los Angeles Assembly Plant had policies and a plant culture not to leave broadcast sheets in the car.  Some Hamtramck Assembly Plant built cars haven been known to have no broadcast sheets, and some vehicles can have multiple broadcast sheets.  Barn find cars of this era may still have broadcast sheets intact but often water, heat, and mice result in their loss.  Furthermore, it was not uncommon for owners or seat reupholsters to throw the broadcast sheets away over the life of the car.
